Have you been looking for the perfect piece of jewellery, but can’t quite find the right thing? Or would you like to commission a bespoke jewellery design and enjoy being involved in the design process?
I specialise in bespoke jewellery design, whether that’s an ethical engagement ring or other piece of jewellery. We’ll work together by whichever means is most convenient – phone, email or in person. If you can come to my Langholm workshop, you’ll also get to see where the magic happens.
As a rough guide, a simple silver pendant starts from around £120, with a gold ring starting at £1000. You can however spend considerably more than this depending upon the design, precious metal, size and quality of gemstones used.
Alternatively, I’m happy to tweak any of the designs in my collections (e.g. a different stone, finish or metal), click here to send me a message stating which piece you are interested in and how you’d like me to personalise it for you.
Step 1 – come and see me
At our first meeting, we will discuss your ideas for jewellery type, metal preference, diamonds, gemstones and budget. I’ll spend some time finding out more about you, in order to tease out some inspiration for a meaningful design. Please feel free to bring any sketches or images you might have. I’ll discuss with you the ethical and environmental considerations of diamonds, gemstones and metal and explore the options with you, based on your budget and personal ethics.
Step 2 – your bespoke jewellery design
Following your appointment I’ll work on some design sketches (where appropriate) and I’ll provide you with a quotation. At this stage, we can tweak your bespoke jewellery design until you are happy with it. This part of the process usually takes 2-3 weeks.

Step 3 – choosing your gemstones or diamonds
Once you are happy with your design and if you have chosen to add coloured gemstones or diamonds, it may be possible to provide a selection for you to choose from. All the gemstones I source will be ethical and traceable. Natural diamonds will be traceable and conflict free, you’ll also have the option to choose laboratory created or recycled diamonds. I’m happy to chat through the various options in detail and provide as much help and advice as is needed to enable you to make an informed choice.
Step 4 – making payment
You can opt to make payment in full, or pay in interest free instalments (typically 2 or 3). Bespoke jewellery designs are non refundable and non returnable as they are created to your specific requirements. Once payment has been made I’ll now begin work to bring your creation to life. Your jewellery should be ready within 6 weeks, if you need your jewellery sooner, please let me know and I will try my utmost to help.
Step 5 – the big reveal!
Once your jewellery is completed, it will be hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office, and packaged in our 100% recycled, recyclable packaging. Purchases over £1500 will be supplied in a handcrafted solid wood jewellery case made by esteemed local furniture maker Daniel Lacey. Daniel and I have been working together to design environmentally friendly boxes created from offcuts of timber. The boxes are recycled, recyclable and biodegradeable.
